About
At Pathways to Agency, we are driven by the belief that everyone should have the tools and support to achieve their goals and thrive in their communities. Our mission is to bridge the gaps in understanding, accessibility, and trust by connecting individuals to essential resources and sharing actionable information and processes that can lead to personal and community growth.
We’ve identified key challenges:
obstacles in how to navigate systems
distrust of, or confusion around existing resources
the stigma that often accompanies asking for help.
Many people find it difficult to navigate complex administrative processes, and the abundance of organizations offering similar services only adds to the confusion. Too often, people feel unheard and unsupported, whether they are community members or service providers for the people.
To address these challenges, our current service, Resource Report, offers deeper, more pertinent information about existing and emerging nonprofits and resource organizations. This information is shared through a pre-recorded radio program, making it accessible to all. We also provide free, printed zines, regularly update our website, and archive episodes on our podcast hosting platform to ensure the information is easy to access and share.
At Pathways to Agency, we’re committed to creating a community that empowers everyone to take control of their life’s path, and we look forward to expanding our services to meet the evolving needs of those we serve.
Future Project Visions
Navigation Support Service
With our growth, we envision the Navigation Support Service, where people receive support in formulating a breakdown of steps for solutions to their challenges, while our case management follows up regularly and supports individuals through their process to the level of their need.
“Let’s Talk Agency”, Live Community Podcast
In addition to this, we visualize a live talk program, "Let's Talk Agency", where guests, including various leaders, change-makers, and individuals come together to talk about what is working and not working in our community, what we are celebrating, and how we may find solutions together. People are encouraged to chime in, and project teams can be formed, as we educate groups on an MIT endorsed business model process so that the people can work together with agency to improve the community we all share.
In this podcast, we explore and foster collaboration and project team building. By bringing diverse voices together, we can identify challenges, share insights, and create actionable strategies that empower individuals and strengthen our community as a whole.
